Every bill needs a status. Not every bill needs immediate payment.
Bills, recurring charges, creditor notices, reimbursements, and final expenses rarely arrive in a useful order - or a visible one. The goal is one verified ledger, not a rush to pay everything that appears.
BUILD THE OBLIGATION LEDGER
• Payee or creditor, account reference, amount, due date, payment method, and current status.
• Automatic payments, deposits, subscriptions, utilities, property costs, reimbursements, and expected refunds.
• What service or asset the payment protects, and what may happen if it stops.
• Questions, disputes, missing statements, and the person authorized to follow up.
TRIAGE BEFORE PAYMENT
Separate routine household obligations from claims against an estate, probate obligations and business liabilities, personal debts, and items requiring legal or tax guidance. Do not assume who is responsible or use personal funds without understanding the authority and documentation required.
HOW WE HELP
We create a ledger, scan for duplicates and gaps, prepare call packets and track notices and reimbursements, and route legal, tax, or creditor questions to the appropriate designated professional. We do not determine liability, negotiate debt, hold funds, make payments, or provide legal, tax, or financial advice, but we can help you track it all.
